Johnny Chung is a former Clinton-Gore fundraiser who revealed Clinton-Gore campaign finance abuses. Mr. Chung admitted to funneling money from the Chinese military to Bill Clinton’s fundraising machine at the Democratic National Committee. This was just one element of a Clinton-Gore scheme to peddle influence to the Communist Chinese in exchange for contributions to the Clinton-Gore re-election effort, otherwise known as Chinagate.
Chung pled guilty in March 1988 to election law violations and began cooperating with the FBI. He agreed to be an undercover double agent for the Campaign Finance and FBI Counterintelligence investigators. During the Clinton Administration, Department of Justice Officials leaked sealed information about Chung’s cooperation and location, putting the lives of Chung and his family in jeopardy.
