Feds spend another $10 million to register immigrant voters

The money, fully approved by the Republican-led Congress, is distributed by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services or USCIS, which is the Homeland Security agency that oversees lawful immigration. It’s distributed to organizations that help “enhance pathways to naturalization” by helping prepare immigrants and refugees for U.S. citizenship by teaching them English, U.S. history and civics, at no cost to the immigrant.
