DC police wanted to arrest David Gregory over 30-round gun magazine he waved on air: affidavit

JANUARY 26, 2015

On behalf of Legal Insurrection, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit against the Washington Metropolitan Police Department to obtain government documents of David Gregory’s non-prosecution. Gregory held up a high-capacity magazine, illegal in D.C., on Meet the Press while he was interviewing NRA president Wayne LaPierre after the Newtown shooting. Judicial Watch recently obtained the 2013 affidavit calling for Gregory’s arrest, but Gregory was not prosecuted since the DC attorney general is a friend of his wife. Read more about this affidavit in Judicial Watch’s press release here.

Check out this fact of the case, as quoted in the article:

Washington Metropolitan Police Department Det. Wayne Gerrish requested a warrant and said the network was aware that possessing such a magazine was illegal, said U.S. News & World Report.
