Besides the House Select Committee on Benghazi, Judicial Watch has been investigating the Hillary Clinton email scandal. Since it was discovered that Hillary Clinton conducted official business for the State Department on a private email server, Judicial Watch’s FOIA requests and lawsuits filed against the State Department have been impacted. Besides filing new FOIA requests investigating this scandal, Judicial Watch reopened a FOIA lawsuit relating to it, which is about Clinton’s former top aide Huma Abedin. Read more about that re-litigated FOIA lawsuit here.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, offered commentary on this scandal, as quoted in the article:
“We had hundreds of requests. The State Department knew from the beginning these records weren’t being searched, and no one told us about it, no one told the courts about it,” says Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch.
