Judicial Watch: Homeland Security Releases 165,900 Illegals
MARCH 24, 2015
Judicial Watch recently released 76 pages it received from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) from a FOIA lawsuit it filed that reveal the department released 165,900 criminal illegal aliens. In addition, these pages show that some local laws have barred federal immigration officials from enforcing immigration laws and note that 872,900 non-detained illegal aliens were ordered to leave the United States but never did so. This FOIA lawsuit came as a result of an unanswered FOIA request. Read more about this lawsuit here.
Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, offered commentary on this lawsuit, as quoted in the article:
“Lawless localities that help protect illegal alien rapists and other criminals show that politicians at all levels put politics above the rule of law and the public safety,” Fitton said.
“Where do the innocent victims of the illegal alien criminals this president’s appointees have set free go for justice?”
