State Dept.: ‘No record’ of signed document from Hillary Clinton affirming records turned over
MARCH 18, 2015
The State Department admitted this week that Hillary Clinton never signed OF-109, a form she needed to sign to turn in her classified emails to the department. Clinton turned over 30,000 emails to the State Department last December, but decided to delete more than 30,000 emails that she deemed to be “private” and “unclassified.” Meanwhile, Judicial Watch has been taking legal steps to investigate this email scandal. Last week, the State Department agreed to Judicial Watch’s request to reopen its FOIA lawsuit regarding Huma Abedin and Hillary Clinton’s email communications at the department while Clinton was Secretary of State. Read more about that here.
Judicial Watch’s president Tom Fitton also commented on how this scandal is impacting Judicial Watch’s FOIA litigation, as quoted in the article:
“We’re upset, and I think the courts ought to be upset, because they’re wasting our time, they’re wasting the court’s time and they’re defrauding us,” Mr. Fitton said.
