February 2002 Newsletter

  • JW TO SADDAM HUSSEIN: YOU WILL PAY - Landmark Lawsuit on Behalf of September 11 Victims to Drain Funds from Iraq and Al Qaeda.

  • LETTERS TO THE EDITOR - I am encouraged by your progress reports concerning the cases against the Clintons and especially Janet Reno. The last thing we need in Florida is Reno as Governor.

  • JW VICTORY: BUSH ADMINISTRATION FINALLY TARGETS HAMAS - Acting on a complaint filed by JW, the Bush Administration finally moved to freeze the assets of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development, a Texas-based non-profit front group for the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas.

  • JW SUES FEC OVER FAILURE TO ACT IN CASE AGAINST CLINTONS - Judicial Watch recently made significant progress in its campaign to hold the Clintons accountable in its lawsuit on behalf of Peter Paul by filing suit against the Federal Election Commission for failing to launch an investigation into the New York Senator’s fundraising practices.

  • JW VICTORY: JW FORCES IRS COMMISSIONER ROSSOTTI TO SELL STOCK - Last month, Judicial Watch delivered 26,103 citizen petitions form JW supporters to George W. Bush demanding that he fire IRS Commissioner Charles O. Rossotti for a criminal conflict of interest. While Rossotti is still entrenched in the position he acquired during the Clinton Administration, the petitions, and other JW legal actions against Rossotti, did have a dramatic impact.

  • JW MEMBERS: INVESTIGATE CONDIT! - According to a recent survey, JW members wholeheartedly support JW’s efforts to hold Congressman Gary Condit accountable for his possible involvement in the disappearance of his intern and mistress Chandra Levy.

  • JW CLIENT EARNS KEY VICTORY OVER CASTRO - On February 24, 1996, Communist spies operating on behalf of Castro’s government murdered four members of JW client Jose Basulto’s Brothers to the Rescue team. Their planes were shot down by the Cuban Air Force as they were patrolling the seas in search of Cuban refugees. On December 12, 2001, nearly six years later, justice was finally served.

  • JW PROBES BUSH SENIOR TIES TO SAUDIS - Former President George Bush is retained by the Carlyle Group, a company that has worked for the bin Laden family business in Saudi Arabia. In fact, the senior Bush has met twice with family members of bin Laden.
