U.S. Atty. Gen. Reassures Muslims Of DOJ Protection

In its devotion to Islamic outreach the Obama Administration has become the first to dispatch a U.S. Attorney General to personally “salute” a Muslim group’s efforts to fulfill the “nation’s promise of equal justice and opportunity.”

Addressing a San Francisco-based organization (Muslim Advocates) that urges members not to cooperate in federal terrorism investigations, Attorney General Eric Holder said he is “grateful” to have it as a partner in promoting tolerance, ensuring public safety and protecting civil rights. Strengthening the “crucial dialogue” between Muslim and Arab-American communities and law enforcement is personally important to Holder, the president and Justice Department, the Attorney General told the group.

The “us versus them” environment created by the U.S. government, law enforcement agents and fellow citizens is unacceptable and inconsistent with what America is all about, Holder said. “Muslims and Arab Americans have helped build and strengthen our nation,” he pointed out. They have also been “absolutely essential in identifying and preventing terrorist threats,” Holder assured.

Then he touted his agency’s many efforts to strengthen the government’s relationship with Muslim and Arab-American communities, including a reinvigorated commitment to civil rights that prioritizes the prosecution of violence motivated by “religious intolerance.” The Justice Department has investigated hundreds of hate crimes against Muslims, filed a legal motion supporting a controversial Tennessee mosque and numerous discrimination lawsuits on behalf of Muslims nationwide, Holder bragged.

The agency also created a special Arab-American and Muslim Engagement Advisory Group to foster greater communication, collaboration and a new level of respect between law enforcement and Muslim and Arab-American communities. This includes unprecedented meetings designed to unite Muslim, Arab, Sikh and South Asian leaders with various federal agencies. Not an easy task, Holder assured.

The Attorney General met with Muslim Advocates leaders a few months ago to discuss actions that should be taken by the Justice Department to combat “rising anti-Muslim hate” but the formal address marks the first time an Attorney General speaks at an event hosted by a national Islamic organization. Founded in 2005, the group aims to end discrimination and religious profiling against Muslims and opposes the U.S. government’s surveillance operations involving local terror suspects.

Holder’s speech is simply part of the administration’s fervent crusade to befriend Islamists. Earlier this year the nation’s Homeland Security Secretary covertly met with a group of extremist Arab, Muslim and Sikh organizations to discuss national security matters and the State Department sent a controversial, anti-America Imam (Feisal Abdul Rauf) to the Middle East to foster greater understanding and outreach among Muslim majority communities.

The Obama Administration has also hired a special Homeland Security adviser (Mohamed Elibiary) who openly supports a radical Islamist theologian and renowned jihadist ideologue and a special Islam envoy that condemns U.S. prosecutions of terrorists as “politically motivated persecutions” and has close ties to radical extremist groups.

The president has even ordered the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to shift its mission from space exploration to Muslim diplomacy and the government started a special service that delivers halal meals, prepared according to Islamic law, to home-bound seniors in Detroit. Who could forget Hillary Clinton’s special order allowing the reentry of two radical Islamic academics whose terrorist ties have long banned them from the U.S.?
