Napolitano’s New Adviser Supports Al Qaeda Hero

In the Obama Administration’s latest move to bond with Muslims, a strong supporter of a radical Islamist theologian and a renowned jihadist ideologue has been sworn in as a special adviser to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano proudly announced this month that she swore in three new members of her new Advisory Council, a panel comprised of local government officials, academics and private citizens who make recommendations and advise her on a variety of issues relating to national security.

Among its new members is Mohamed Elibiary, a backer of the Ayatollah Khomeini and a well-known Egyptian jihadist named Sayyid Qutb. In fact, Elibiary participated in a tribute to Khomeini, the ruthless Iranian revolutionary whose teachings continue to govern Middle Eastern terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda. The Dallas event was called “A Tribute To The Great Islamic Visionary, Ayatollah Khomeini.” Elibiary’s participation and his support for other known jihadist figures were revealed by a military anti-terrorism consultant, who has published articles on the subject.

The nation’s new Muslim homeland security adviser also publicly attacked the U.S. government’s prosecution of a Texas-based Hamas front group (Holy Land Foundation) largely funded by Islamic, terrorist-supporting countries. Once the nation’s largest Muslim charity, Holy Land Foundation executives were convicted of raising millions of dollars to support terrorists.

Not surprisingly, Elibiary’s controversial history was omitted in the government’s press release announcing the recent swearing in. Instead, it describes Elibiary as the president of a justice foundation who has advised numerous federal, state and local law organizations on matters relating to homeland security. It also says that Elibiary recently served on Napolitano’s advisory council on countering violent extremism.

Adding Elibiary to the roster of homeland security advisers is simply the latest effort by the Obama Administration to befriend radical Muslims. Just last month the administration sent an America-bashing mosque leader (New York Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf) who blames U.S. foreign policy for the 9/11 attacks on a Middle Eastern “outreach” mission. Judicial Watch has sued the State Department to obtain information on the government-sponsored trips taken by Rauf.

Other Muslim outreach efforts include; Napolitano covertly meeting and discussing national security matters with a group of extremist Muslim organizations, the nation’s space agency (NASA) being ordered to focus on Muslim diplomacy and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signing a special order to allow the reentry of two radical Islamic academics whose terrorist ties long banned them from the U.S. The administration has even ordered a government-funded meal program for home-bound seniors to offer halal cuisine prepared according to Islamic law.
