Vitter Requests Obamacare Documents From D.C., House and Senate

Senator David Vitter (R-LA), chair of the Senate’s Small Business Committee, is demanding answers on Congress’ illegal enrollment in Obamacare’s DC Small Business Exchange. He is requesting for answers from the DC Health Benefit Exchange Authority and House and Senate officials on their role in approving Congress’ falsified healthcare subsidy applications. Judicial Watch helped pave the way for this investigation with a FOIA lawsuit against the DCHBE. Through that lawsuit, JW obtained the falsified applications. You can read more about the latest developments of that lawsuit here.

Here is Vitter’s main argument for this investigation, as quoted in the article:

“Jurisdiction of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship includes oversight responsibilities affecting or related to small businesses. According to the application DCHBE approved, that now includes Congress in this matter,” Vitter wrote in the letter, which was shared with CQ Roll Call. “Allowing Congress to determine itself as a ‘small business’ should not have passed the common sense test.
