Who’s been drinking at Border Patrol?

Recently, Judicial Watch released parts of an internal memo urging the Border Patrol to not arrest drunk drivers. The Border Patrol has suggested this to its agents so they would not be susceptible to legal liability. In response to this memo, Customs and Border Protection said it was “inappropriately released” to the public. Read more about all of this at Judicial Watch’s Corruption Chronicles blog.

Below is a quote from the author of this article underscoring the absurdity of this memo:

We’re just working a hunch here, but something about this memo suggests it is the product of an incredibly oblivious legal-beagle who hasn’t had an encounter with the real world in a while. From the sound of it, Border Patrol agents — who, bless them, operate in the real world — may not be paying much attention to it.
