State Dept. Admits It Received 2,800 Of Huma Abedin’s Government Documents On Weiner’s Laptop

The State Department admitted Tuesday that it received 2,800 government documents from the FBI, all of which were related to Huma Abedin, the estranged wife of former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner.

The documents were discovered on the former congressman’s personal laptop, and they mainly dealt with Abedin’s work as deputy chief of staff for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

After its failure to respond to a Freedom of Information Act request from Judicial Watch, a lawsuit was filed by the watchdog group and the State Department was ordered by a court to produce the documents.
