Judicial Watch president: The Obama administration misled the FISA court [video]

Monday on “Fox & Friends,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said those who signed on to the FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign associate Carter Page need to be asked “serious questions” about why the warrant misled the FISA court.

Judicial Watch, a legal watchdog group, was one of several organizations to secure the release of the 412-page FISA court application with a Freedom of Information Act request. The documents contain classified information and are heavily redacted. Fitton criticized the Department of Justice for defensively classifying sensitive or embarrassing information.

“It wasn’t because they were protecting national security secrets. It was to cover up misconduct by the Justice Department and the FBI in misleading the courts by using this dossier in a dishonest way to gain a warrant to target the Trump team,” Fitton said.
