Cass, Crawford among state counties accused of voter violations

From the East Central Reporter:

A transparency group says Cass and Crawford counties are among 24 in Illinois that have more registered voters than residents over 18 years of age.

Judicial Watch pointed to the alleged voter registration discrepancies in a notice-of-violation letter it sent to Illinois that gives the state 90 days to ensure that eligible voter lists are accurate or face a lawsuit.

Illinois is one of 11 states in which Judicial Watch found similar discrepancies between voter registration and population numbers after analyzing data from the Election Assistance Commission and U.S. Census Bureau American Community Survey.
