Communism At Public Elementary Schools
It has been well documented that academia in the U.S. is leftwing and ultra-liberal, but for a public school district to distribute graphic picture books to elementary students endorsing Cuba’s communist regime is a bit much.
The book A Visit to Cuba has created a war in the south Florida school district featuring the ACLU and Cuba’s dictatorship on one side and Cuban exiles and conservatives on the other.
It’s not surprising that the ACLU immediately took the Communist side and has threatened to sue the Miami-Dade School District if it removes the offensive and factually incorrect book from the area’s elementary schools as the superintendent has promised.
One of Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro’s official newspapers called the book’s removal malicious while extensively quoting the Florida ACLU’s director, Howard Simon, who has vowed to litigate the book’s removal despite its inaccuracies.
