Congress finds sorting Fast and Furious records ‘like pieces of a puzzle’

Judicial Watch announced that it received from the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) on November 18, 2014, a large production of documents pertaining to Operation Fast and Furious. The documents were forced out of the Obama administration through a June 2012 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and subsequent September 2012 FOIA lawsuit. A total of 10,112 documents, comprised of approximately 42,000 pages, were disclosed to Judicial Watch in the new production.  The documents are being posted and most are now available on Judicial Watch’s website.

Arizona’s KTAR picks up the story and expands on how the Obama administration tries to obscure information even when forced to release documents. Judicial Watch’s own Sean Dunagan, who helped lead the investigation, is quoted.

“They certainly didn’t make it easy, but there’s no requirement that they must do so,” said Sean Dunagan, a senior investigator with the government-monitoring group Judicial Watch, which also sought many of the records.
