House panel issues subpoenas for Clinton e-mails

The House Select Committee on Benghazi recently subpoenaed emails belonging to the private email address Hillary Clinton used when she was Secretary of State. It was discovered that Clinton used her own server–clintonemail.com–to conduct official business for the State Department. Meanwhile, Judicial Watch has pending FOIA litigation that has been impacted by this scandal; as a result, Judicial Watch has filed several FOIA requests to investigate this scandal. Read more details about the latest FOIA requests here.

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, offered commentary on this matter, as quoted in the article:

“By our count, there are at least 18 lawsuits that are directly impacted by this, and who knows how many FOIA requests,” said Tom Fitton of Judicial Watch, a conservative group that uses Freedom of Information Act requests to monitor government agencies. “It looks to me like we’ve been lied to, misled and had our court cases obstructed in many, many cases, even though they’ve known from the day she entered office that she had this account.”
