Illegal Alien Indicted In Terrorist Plot
Proving that the illegal immigration battle is not a racist anti-Hispanic crusade but rather a national security issue, a Pakistani man living in the U.S. illegally has been indicted for aiding the Taliban and training with firearms for jihad against Americans.
Like several of the September 11 hijackers, the Pakistani man entered the United States with a student visa and remained in the country illegally long after it expired. Adnan Mirza studied biomedical technology at a Houston college while undergoing weapons and reconnaissance training at various area locations to terrorize Americans. The FBI said he also provided financial support to Taliban members and their families.
Mirza has been federally charged with conspiracy to aid the Taliban and three counts of illegal possession of firearms. Individuals in the United States on student visas as well as illegal aliens, may not own firearms and Mirza had several. Mirza’s accomplice, an American citizen named Kobie Williams, was also charged and actually pleaded guilty this week. A convert of Islam who studied the Quran in Egypt and called himself Abdul Kaberr, Williams now faces five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Mirza faces a decade in prison.
Both men were heavily involved in Texas area Muslim groups and their goal was to join the Taliban and commit “battlefield jihad” against U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq. They trained for well over a year, according to the federal indictment.
