Hillary Clinton could face jail time as email scandal sparks legal challenges

According to open records experts, Hillary Clinton could go to jail for not disclosing emails on her private server that discussed classified material. She could potentially face 3 years in jail for each non-disclosed, classified email. Meanwhile, Clinton determined that nearly 32,000 emails were private and thus deleted them. Judicial Watch has been investigating this email scandal. Read more about the latest FOIA requests Judicial Watch filed on it here.

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, also offered commentary on this scandal, as quoted in the article:

“We had hundreds of requests. The State Department knew from the beginning these records weren’t being searched, and no one told us about it, no one told the courts about it,” Mr. Fitton said.

“If there is any advice I would give to the media, do not use the word ‘private’ with respect to her email accounts, because whether they’re private or not is frankly a question for the courts to decide,” he said.
