Judicial Watch: Clinton & Aides May Have Gone ‘Offline’ During Benghazi Attack

According to Judicial Watch, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her aides corresponded with each other “offline” over email as the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attacks were occurring. Judicial Watch learned of this information from documents it obtained from a FOIA lawsuit against the State Department regarding Benghazi. The documents reveal Hillary Clinton and her aides knew the attacks were caused by a group linked to al-Qaeda and that Clinton’s then-chief of staff Cheryl Mills told other aides to stop answering press inquiries regarding the attacks. Read more about these documents here.

Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, also offered commentary on these documents, as quoted in the article:

“Cheryl Mills was instrumental in making sure the big lie was put out there,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said. “What’s notable thus far is that we received no emails from or to Mrs. Clinton, and you have to wonder whether these aides went offline and were using these secret accounts to communicate with her about the Benghazi attack.”
