Judicial Watch Sues to Obtain Anti-Israel Boycott Records of Obama Administration
The government watchdog group Judicial Watch has filed a lawsuit against the Defense Department, Homeland Security, and the State Department to obtain the records concerning the anti-Israel group Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions’ (BDS) efforts “to lobby the Obama administration to adopt policies to harm companies doing business with Israel,” reported the group in a statement.
“Americans deserve to know if the Obama-era agenda of supporting anti-Israel radicals in subverting U.S. law is ongoing,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.
“These entrenched bureaucrats of the Deep State clearly require lawsuits to compel observance of FOIA law,” he added.
The BDS is an international anti-Israel boycott movement, endorsed by the PLO, which seeks to economically punish Israel until it complies with the directives of the alleged international community, including the removal of the separation barrier in the West Bank, Israeli withdrawal from the territories, and the right of return of Palestinians.
