Schwarzenegger Says Vicious Murder Will Serve Death Sentence
The Associated Press is reporting that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger refused to spare the life of Stanley Tookie Williams, the founder of the murderous Crips gang who awaits execution early Tuesday.
We reported last week how numerous Hollywood stars mounted a campaign to save the quadruple murderer’s life, claiming he had reformed in prison because he wrote a few children’s books and encouraged gang bangers to stay out of trouble. Williams has been on death row for 24 years.
A lot of Schwarzenegger’s Hollywood pals tried to pressure him to grant Williams clemency but the Terminator sent them a message which said:
“After studying the evidence, searching the history, listening to the arguments and wrestling with the profound consequences, I could find no justification for granting clemency. The facts do not justify overturning the jury’s verdict or the decisions of the courts in this case.”
Blogs worldwide are going crazy commenting on Schwarzenegger’s denial. The political humor blog, Humorati, used a header that said “Hasta La Vista Tookie” and Flyairdave said Governor Schwarzenegger did the right thing while pointing out that Hollywood isn’t as powerful as it thinks it is. Gopbloggers used a big headline that said “Tookie To Be Terminated.“
Tookie should be pleased to know that Jesse Jackson, a defendant in an upcoming Judicial Watch trial, is leading a group of three dozen death penalty protesters in a march across San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge en route to the gates of San Quentin, where his vicious murdering buddy awaits to die by lethal injections.
