Senator ridicules Obama for not signing amnesty order

On December 8, 2014, Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) addressed President Obama’s executive amnesty on a panel at Judicial Watch’s headquarters. He specifically discussed how the president’s executive order on amnesty is unconstitutional and severely undermines our nation; he also pointed out how the president contradicted himself 20 times on this matter. In addition, he revealed that the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) hired 1,000 staff members to quickly approve amnesty applications from illegal immigrants. In relation, read Judicial Watch’s press release announcing a FOIA lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security to obtain border crisis planning records.

Read Senator Sessions’ commentary regarding DHS Director Jeh Johnson’s idea to put forth a memo on this matter:

“I guess they just whispered in the ear of (DHS Director) Jeh Johnson over at Homeland Security, ‘Just put out a memo. That way we don’t have to enforce the law.’ “
