U.S. Sends Anti-America Imam On Outreach Mission
In President Obama’s latest effort to befriend radical Muslims, an America-bashing mosque leader who blames U.S. foreign policy for the 9/11 attacks will represent the administration in a Middle Eastern “outreach” mission.
The State Department will send controversial New York Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and
It’s simply the latest of many contemptible moves by the administration to promote an illusive diplomatic solution to Islamic terrorism. In the last few months Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano covertly met and discussed national security matters with a group of extremist Muslim organizations, the nation’s space agency (NASA) was ordered to focus on Muslim diplomacy and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton signed a special order to allow the reentry of two radical Islamic academics whose terrorist ties long banned them from the U.S. The administration even ordered a government-funded meal program for home-bound seniors to offer halal cuisine prepared according to Islamic law.
Sending Rauf on a diplomatic mission is especially contentious because he’s embroiled in a controversial multi million-dollar project to build a mosque at the 9/11 Ground Zero site. Rauf paid nearly $5 million in cash for the parcel—located steps away from where the
The project has outraged survivors of 9/11 victims because Rauf has long refused to acknowledge the U.S. government’s classification of Hamas as a terrorist organization. He also believes that the U.S. and the west must acknowledge the harm they have done to Muslims before terrorism can end and that the west has to understand the terrorists’ point of view.
Tidbits of Rauf’s radical speeches and writings are listed in a conservative news publication that points out the work indicates that, rather than a moderate, peace-loving, assimilated immigrant, Rauf is really an Islamic ideologue and propagandist with an anti-American political agenda.
Soon he will represent the U.S. government in a region infested with Islamic terrorists and American taxpayers will pick up the tab for the trip.
