The illegal immigrant shooter of Kate Steinle was found not guilty of murder in San Francisco. He was allowed to stay in the city due to sanctuary city policies.

Judicial Watch is suing the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department over restrictions on the ability of sheriff’s deputies to communicate freely with Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) about inmates’ citizenship, immigration status, and release dates.

Recently the DOJ has been cracking down on sanctuary cities. Judicial Watch will continue to hold them to account through litigation.
