Proving once again that the nation’s airports are vulnerable to serious security breaches, a longtime public employee at one of the world’s busiest airports has been charged with smuggling foreigners—including previously deported aliens with criminal records—into the country by helping them out of the terminal before mandatory customs inspections.

The veteran city worker, an elevator mechanic, has for decades been cleared to access restricted areas at Los Angeles International Airport and federal authorities believe he was a small part of a large scale illegal immigrant smuggling operation at the massive facility which annually handles 62 million passengers.

Today, between eight and fourteen million illegal aliens reside in the United States, draining our nation’s economy, while presenting a security threat to the people of the United States. Public officials have not only repeatedly failed to protect our borders from this illegal alien invasion, but they have also been complicit in the effort to undermine our nation’s immigration laws.

National Illegal Immigrant Sanctuary Movement    

Although congregations in 50 U.S. cities are flaunting their participation in a sanctuary movement that harbors illegal immigrants with deportation orders, federal authorities refuse to take action in order to avoid a “media circus and a confrontation.”

It is against the law to harbor illegal immigrants or shield them from detection yet churches, synagogues and other places of worship nationwide have publicly joined a movement to do just that without any consequences.
