Emails reportedly show confidant told Clinton Benghazi attack planned by fighters tied to Al Qaeda

The American people have learned this week that Secretary Clinton was informed two days after the Benghazi attack by confidant and long-time aide Sidney Blumenthal, whose work in Libya had already generated controversy, that the Benghazi attack was planned and not a spontaneous protest. However, Clinton and the Obama administration would publicly maintain days later just the opposite, largely to protect Obama’s re-election bid.
