McCabe’s Texts, Burisma, and Biden’s Unmasking of Gen. Flynn

Federal Court Hearing Today in Judicial Watch Lawsuit for Andrew McCabe Emails and Text Messages

In 2017, Judicial Watch uncovered Justice Department records concerning ethics issues related to McCabe’s involvement with his wife’s political campaign. The documents include an email showing Mrs. McCabe was recruited for a Virginia state senate race in February 2015 by then-Virginia Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam’s office. The news that former Secretary of State Clinton used a private email server broke five days later, on March 2, 2015. Five days after that, former Clinton Foundation board member and Democrat party fundraiser, Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe, met with the McCabes. She announced her candidacy on March 12. Soon afterward, Clinton/McAuliffe-aligned political groups donated nearly $700,000 (40% of the campaign’s total funds) to McCabe’s wife for her campaign.

The New Biden-Burisma Documents

After a nearly 11 month FOIA battle to obtain documents on Burisma and the Bidens, Judicial Watch has finally received proof of what many have speculated for months: that the Obama State Department knew about the Biden-Burisma connection. Just days before the presidential election, the State Department “finally gave us a briefing memo showing that the Democratic lobbying firm hired by Burisma met with the anti-Trump ambassador, Ambassador Yovanovitch,” Fitton explained on Friday. On May 19, Senator Grassley responded and asked for “the declassification of additional information related to the unmasking of Americans around the time of the 2016 election, but also to expand the scope of our request to include information as early as January 2016. Based on our investigation and recent press reports, we are increasingly concerned that the surveillance of U.S. persons affiliated with the Trump campaign began earlier than the opening of the FBI’s Crossfire Hurricane investigation in late July 2016.”.
