Watchdog: IRS workers mistakenly erased tea party emails

The IRS has been stonewalling Judicial Watch’s attempts to obtain Lois Lerner’s emails in our efforts to get to the bottom of the IRS targeting scandal. The most recent line from the IRS is that employees “accidentally” deleted the backup tapes containing possibly more than 24,000 Lerner emails.
