Military Experts: With ISIS in El Paso, Ft. Bliss in Danger of Terrorist Attack

SEPTEMBER 04, 2014

The recent increase in security at a key Army base near a Mexican border city where Islamic terrorists are confirmed to be operating and planning an attack on the United States indicates that the facility is a target, according to senior military experts contacted by Judicial Watch.

Last week JW reported that the militant group Islamic State of Iraq and Greater Syria (ISIS) is working in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED). High-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources confirmed to JW that a warning bulletin for an imminent terrorist attack on the border has been issued. Agents across a number of Homeland Security, Justice and Defense agencies have all been placed on alert and instructed to aggressively work all possible leads and sources concerning this imminent terrorist threat.

Juarez is a famously crime-infested narcotics hotbed situated across from El Paso, Texas. Ft. Bliss is the Army’s second-largest installation, spanning more than 1 million acres with an active duty force of 34,411 and headquartered in El Paso. Two days after JW broke the story on ISIS operating in Juarez, Ft. Bliss announced it was increasing security measures. A statement that went out to the media was rather vague, attributing the move to several recent security assessments and the constant concern for the safety of military members, families, employees and civilians.

But senior military officials contacted by JW this week reveal that military installations in the U.S. only make changes to security measures when there are clear and present threats. “It’s a significant issue when this is done,” says retired Army Lt. Gen. Jerry Boykin, former commander of the Army’s elite Delta Force who also served four years as Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. “That means they’re getting a threat stream. Ft. Bliss had to have a clear and present threat.”

The inaccuracies to the public appear to be part of a broader effort by the Obama administration to downplay the bloodshed that has long plagued the southern border and now the imminent threat of Islamic jihadists planning a strike as the 13th anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil approaches. Remember that Obama’s first Homeland Security Secretary, Janet Napolitano, famously proclaimed that the border is as secure as it’s ever been even as organized syndicates took over portions of the region, smuggling drugs, humans, weapons and money into the U.S.

Back in 2010 a veteran federal agent disclosed that the government was covering up the growing threat by Middle Eastern terrorists entering the country through Mexico. The U.S. Border Patrol classifies them as OTM (Other Than Mexican) and many come from terrorist nations like Yemen, Iran, Sudan, Somalia and Afghanistan. The feds call them SIAs (Special Interest Aliens) and the government doesn’t want Americans to know about them or that ISIS is operating adjacent to a major American city. “ISIS is working with the drug cartels,” confirms retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Paul E. Vallely, who’s regularly briefed by high-level contacts in the region. Besides Ft. Bliss, Maj. Gen. Vallely believes another Texas Army base, Ft. Hood, is also a target for Islamic terrorists.

As we all know, Ft. Hood was already attacked by a radical Army psychiatrist (Nidal Malik Hasan) who murdered 13 colleagues and wounded dozens of others as he chanted “Allahu Akbar!” (God is great in Arabic). Hasan had ties to a radical mosque leader (Anwar al Awlaki) who promotes jihad against the U.S., attempted to contact Al Qaeda associates prior to the attack and defended Islamic suicide bombers in comments he posted on the internet.

Hundreds of miles across the Lone Star State, geography makes Ft. Bliss an exceptionally big target at the moment, JW’s military experts say. For starters it’s a sensitive compound that sits near a notoriously porous border adjacent to a Mexican city long run by heavily armed drug cartels. As the anniversary of 9/11 approaches and ISIS establishes itself in Juarez, there’s no question the El Paso Army base is vulnerable, military experts told JW this week.

“Given how easy it is to cross the border terrorist can easily cross it,” Lt. Gen. Boykin said. “We’ve known for some time that terrorist elements have entered the U.S. through Mexico. This is nothing new.” Actually, Islamic terrorists are likely planning multiple attacks in the border region, including perhaps malls and power grids, according to Maj. Gen. Vallely, who assures that the cells are quite sophisticated. “They are well organized and well-funded,” he said.

THE MODERATE REBELS ARE ISIS // IL AND THE OBAMA EMIRATE’S JANISSARY NOW IN THE U.S., THANKS TO THE MOSLEM BROTHERHOOD AND QATAR; IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE? THE ENEMY IS IN WHITE HOUSE, THE SENATE AND CONGRESS SO WHAT’S THE POINT? THE UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER WAS SIGNED IN 2009, THAT IS WHEN THE OBAMA KHEDIVE CHANGED SIDES, WHY THE REPORTING WITHOUT MAKING A DIRECT TIE TO THE REASON FOR THE GENOCIDES AND THIS COUNTRY’S DEMISE? THE ENEMY COMBATANT IN THE WHITE HOUSE, HOW MANY WAYS ARE THERE TO CAMOUFLAGE THE FACTS?

  • DecentDiscourse

Not saying that they can’t attempt it, just that they’re not stupid enough to use the toughest route at this point when they can just waltz in legally. Why would they risk an operation trying to cross a border on foot when they can fly ?

  • W_R_Monger

Berry?! Really? Are you that thick?

  • W_R_Monger

The military’s typical go to line is (even I’ve used this one before) “I can neither confirm nor deny the information currently presented”. That usually means that the information at hand is fairly accurate but officially unconfirmed.

  • W_R_Monger

Too much info. Americans aren’t the only people who read these posts. Just saying, next time curb your enthusiasm because it may effect the lives of service members.

  • Morgan Kemp

As a former person in the military, I know, not saying how, Isis, and other threats do go through Mexico. Don’t listen to these idiots that are trying to “dumb down,” military term, “AKT,”(as known threats). This is what the US Government is known for. So for these idiots saying: “disregard this article,” are trying to hide the truth. They are part of this, and they are trying to not scare the public. So those that are smarter then those “idiots,” on this discussion, “please…!” “Take this as a warning!” It is happening, and it’s just going to keep getting worse here on out.

  • hurricane567

ISIS, i want you to count every NRA bumper sticker in El Paso and figure that each one of those represents one squad worth of shooters and guns. Do you have enough guns, IEDs, and holy warriors to cover that? No? Then you are going to have a bad time!

  • aquafuji

And you know this how? Are you an expert in this field or of counter intelligents? Where’s your proof this isn’t true. I’d rather not find out after the fact when the damage is done.

  • blackspeak

Any ISIS suspects should be summarily executed before a firing squads…

  • Allan Narci

mexican drug dealers went through the trouble of building vast underground tunnels in to the US just for the sake of greed. What do you think maniacs who think this country is the embodiment of satan will do?

  • Allan Narci

why would the military divulge what would certainly be classified information with idiots off the street? to create a stampede of cowards crying for the feds to save them?

  • gardoglee

Yes. 9/11 means that the Saudi government, working with an employee of the Saudi royal family (George H. W. Bush) can attack the US so as to incite us to attack enemies of Saudi Arabia such as Iraq and the Russian consortium that was building an oil pipeline across Afghanistan until we invaded. And now, we’re going to be tricked into doing the SUdis dirty work again.

You’ve got to hand it to those Saudis. They are pretty tricky. They’ve got most Americans fooled into thinking they are our allies.

  • Katrina Diaz

I live in El Paso, very close to Biggs Field which is the air field in Ft. Bliss, and lately (past two weeks or so) lots of helicopters and jets have been flying in and out towards MacGregor Field. And I mean jets in groups of three and back hawk helis. It’s pretty crazy.

  • Curtis Powell

Does 9/11 mean nothing in your weak, pathetic mind?

  • Curtis Powell

ISIS fighters believe that they cannot get into heaven if they are killed by a woman. Staff all border patrol check points with women…… HEAVILY ARMED WOMEN!!!

  • Curtis Powell

The LIAR-IN-CHIEF has already said he would invoke the WAR POWERS ACT.

  • Jeffrey L. Mcdonald

We had heard this last month. obama adm. had said as far as they knew no one from ISIS or any other terrorist group had been reported as having crossed the border of Mexico into the US. It’s never true when border patrol tells us they have crossed into US. but that our govt.lies to us to not let us know it’s true. Why do we not Impeach the president for his blatant abuses of his office by not protecting the people. He just gets a free pass by the media.

  • Daniel Martin

    He?

  • Rick Giordani

Im not a repukeincan or a dumocrap, but you gotta open your eyes and see that the current administration is an inebet/weak one and with there mindset has put this Country in peril but you will see soon enough the error of his ways when S hits the fan.

You are a very disturbed person if you believe your own dribble.

  • thehotfinger

I don’t think I ever implied that the direct route had been blocked completely, just that it’s probably not easy to just walk through the front gates and some assert. My real point was that sneaking across the boarder, given it’s demonstrated porousness, would seem to be a reasonable alternative. We should not be focusing on any one avenue while neglecting/ignoring another.

  • DecentDiscourse

That thar is some mighty wishful thinking. You wish we knew who all of these people are, but we don’t. Good example is the ISIS guy from France who returned home, traveled to Belgium and killed four people. Don’t get too comfortable thinking the direct route has been blocked. It hasn’t. Walking across the border risks too much operationally. What’s easier: SEnding 10 people to the US via plane with valid visas and having only 3 flagged or risking the life of your operatives by sending them into a hostile crossing where any number of things can go wrong? These people are a lot of things, but fools, they are not. They are exceptionally dangerous.

  • DecentDiscourse

Specifically prove the threat exists in the first place. I seriously doubt you can. Dark recesses of lower digestive tracts may make you feel you’ve been witty and condescending in a 10-year-old’s way of being witty and condescending, but it clearly shows you have lost sight of the issue.

  • tryingtopickaname

And what does logic and common sense dictate, given your intellect’s unique position in the dark recesses of your lower digestive tract? Simply saying it isn’t so, while covering your eyes and plugging your ears doesn’t make unpleasantries go away? Specifically refute the threat with facts or reasonable speculation, please.

  • FU

Boooolshite article, nothing to see here, move along.

this is very serious, and anyone caught doing a crime of any sort needs to be investrigated fully, if found fighting with ISIS not prison but an internment camp they need to be frog marched off to run by the Military jailers

  • CarterSatherford

This is not absurd. I think the wealthy illuminati behind all of this Cloward-Piven bullshit all have bets with each other to see what can happen first: a complete financial breakdown of this country from the illegals sucking our resources dry, or a complete takeover of this country by the middle east. We should line the Mexico border with pig carcasses.

  • holoh

There has to be a second part to that quote about people who are no longer living, yet still vote. ;)

  • Chained

“The problems we face today are there because the people who vote for a living outnumber those who work for a living”. Unknown

They aren’t walking around with a sign around their neck saying “I am a terrorist”. They will blend in very easily unless near farm animals. They will be the ones ****ing goats. If you suspect one is a terrorist offer him a pork sandwich and if he refuses beat the shite out of him.

  • Chained

Yes but when the govt neglects to their job it then becomes our responsibility. The govt should be of the people by the people and for the people but it is now of the govt by the govt and for the govt. At some point we are going to have to wake up, put our big boy pants on and do what should have happened already.

  • holoh

I agree, however, we shouldn’t have to lock and load against outside threats. That’s Obama’s job #1 – to protect us from foreign threats. I should only have to use my small arsenal to protect against domestic threats.

  • holoh

Yes you have. You just don’t know it yet. But you will.

  • holoh

Are you really that dense? You did it again. You CAN’T say that something “isn’t true”, and then say “but if it is”. If it isn’t true, then it can’t be! Either you need to stop unequivocally saying that it isn’t true, or drop your point about “but if it is”. Instead say, “I don’t think that is true, but if it is…”

  • thehotfinger

Why is this so unbelievable? Infiltrating the United States via commercial flights is likely possible but probably also quite difficult considering that the intelligence community knows the identify of many of these people and have placed them on watch lists – it matters less whether or not their passports were stamped in Syria.

At the same time, it is quite obvious that simply walking across the southern border is a mostly uncomplicated affair and if done successfully law enforcement and the FBI would have no indication they had entered. In addition, penetrating the southern border affords the opportunity to bring materiel from outside the country to conduct attacks, further reducing the chance of detection by law enforcement.

The border is ridiculously porous – it is beyond debate at this point. If attacks do occur, and it is revealed that the attackers enter via the southern border, then perhaps the federal government will at last find the motivation to devote the proper attention and resources to securing it once and for all.

  • m2

The GOP is half the problem at least. Look how cooperative John ‘Crybaby’ Boehner is. What’s WRONG with this picture????

If we IMPEACH BOEHNER for not doing his job as the OPPOSITION party leader, then maybe we’d start making some progress! Boehner —> Lois Lerner —> Obama administration

  • m2

If Obama had a son, he’d look like ISIS. Period

  • m2

I think President Ebola is waiting to see how many Typical White People that he can let get killed, as he did in Benghazi, Fast n Furious, the Beau Bergdahl prisoner swap, the border crisis, the Ebola crisis, you name it. Terrorists could sieze a major nuclear power plant and President Ebola would tell us that

    a) those that have the notion that they have siezed a power plant need to understand that they have not done so;
    b) — (although it is impossible because not even Beel-ze-bama himself is THAT good of an actor…even HE knows that he is full of shiiiiiiiiiiit)

    also

    c) the moon is made of blue cheese. PERIOD.

After that, he’ll bite his lip. To which, terrorists everywhere drop their AK’s, and run screaming back into their caves. And if they need further diplomacy, Obama promises to be ‘flexible’ and to tell them up front that we don’t intend to attack or retaliate.

Behind the scenes: Ovomit meets with the Sharia Czar to plan the Sharia/Martial Law Deployment (phase 2 after total chaos is created, incited, and allowed.) Of course his friends on the board who are from HAMAS and the Muzz-slime Brotherhood are helping plan the next batch of lies to be deployed.

  • DecentDiscourse

This is completely absurd. Think about it. If you had captured the resources ISIS has captured, would you bother trying to mount an operation by sneaking across a border when you have PLENTY of people holding passports which allow them unfettered access to the United States legally? This is complete daft fear-mongering and extremely distracting. The real problem is tracking each and every person who enters and leaves IS, globally. It’s not hard to do, given the BILLIONS we spend on nonsense covert budgets which 1. Didn’t let us figure out this was coming, and 2. Didn’t do a darn thing to stop it. Get your heads in the game, focus on the real problem and execute a plan to track these people. Mexican border—yeah, right.

  • Tom Soriano

I wasn’t referring to Obama but, the way that he’s ignoring the Constitution he may just try for a third term. I was referring to our corrupt government (Democrats and Republicans alike) in general. All those corrupt and incompetent politicians have too much to lose if they are voted out of power. What I’m trying to say is, the names and faces might change but, we will still end up with the same old corruption and incompetence…..Be Well.

  • one of many

If you believe there is a way for Mr Obama to not leave office at the end of his term then I think you need to go back and read the constitution again. As far as things going to the highest bidder they are the Koch bothers they are spending their wealth to make websites like this and blast the tv ads with this same logic. Are you aware that the Kohn brothers father was the one who started the John Birch Society? research that please.

  • Tom Soriano

One of many: I too have been censured and I guess, sometimes it was warranted. I get very passionate and angry about the corruption and incompetence thats happening in our government. Too many Americans are acting like sheep being led to the slaughter house! I think it’s about time that they get fighting mad and stand up to Obama and this out of control government. I don’t believe that our government will ever allow itself to be voted out of power it/they have too much to lose and, they are too greedy.

I believe that Obama and his “queen” are the ultimate Sleeper Cell and it gets me fighting mad to see how he’s trampling all over our Constitution and Bill of Rights and with all his lies and deception! I definitely agree that all patriotic Americans need to come together, regardless of party affiliation, so we can effectively combat the tyranny and corruption in our government…..Be Well.

  • agreatsign

Gee, good thing Obama put out a general invitation to illegals to cross the border at will..
And all this time I thought it was one of the main jobs as president was to provide national security.

  • hgfbjn

This is only further evidence of how out of touch with reality the whole Obama lack of admininistration is. Jesus, help us. We need you now more than ever! That’s all I can say.

  • one of many

How many days do you take to moderate a comment? Funny that the only ones I see need moderation disagree with your organizations premise.

  • one of many

sorry not saying you personally censored me but Judicial Watch is now saying my posts are awaiting moderation. There is nothing in them that is cursing or x rated or anything that would take them days to moderate them. This website is not one I will spend anytime reading because they have proven to me they only want to see comments that agree with their opinions. If you mention facts that are in all the history books but they don’t reflect their views they will remove your posts.
Here is one post they are still moderating Most of you need to do yourself a favor and read real news. This is put out by a website so it must be true. Even had a couple of Generals and LTC names in there. If this were true it would be a really bad place to start a war. There are no real high value targets there that are not military installations. Any one of those bases could stop what ever scenarios this website wants to think MIGHT play out in El Paso. It is sad that the press that is bought and paid for by the rich will keep us regular folks all stirred up so we don’t pay attention to what is at stake in Washington DC. We need to stop fighting each other over what some “watchdog groups” (both right and left leaning) want us to think so we don’t ask the hard questions of the lawmakers. The entire House will be up for election in November one third of the Senate will be up for election. You need to know not just who is the candidate but what will that person do to make our county, as a whole, better. Not just line his pocket with donations from the people with the money, because now money has a greater voice than people.
here is the other: I have lived long enough to have seen many corrupt Whitehouse driven actions. Like Nixon covering up lies, or Regan and Iran Contra. Yes our Democratic Presidents have had faults too, and I do remember watching Clinton tell a lie about sex with an aide. From my view a lie about having sex is much less damaging to our nation than a President who breaks laws and then tries to cover them up. At least Clinton was impeached for a personal failure and not a illegal action.

  • NotThatStupidYet

I read your link, and as I said before it certainly has not appeared nationally that I have seen, but I did not read and nothing of him being arrested for being a convicted felon with a weapon. So it really makes me wonder. We do background checks on our militia members where I live, so I can say with some confidence that our guys don’t suffer from that problem.

  • Tom Soriano

This government has placed itself aloof of the American people and therefore, can no longer represent us. It imposes laws, rules and regulations on the American people and then, exempts itself from those laws, rules and regulations! Any law that is good enough for the people is good enough for our representatives in Washington. We have given our government too much power and it’s abusing it!……Be Well.

  • Tom Soriano

Having opposing points of view is not censoring, at least not as far as I’m concerned. I respect other comments and opinions and the people that voice them…..Be Well.

Militia member shot at by Border Patrol is a convicted felon

    By Joshua Fechter : September 8, 2014

SAN ANTONIO — A militia member shot at by a Border Patrol agent is a convicted felon with a history of criminal activity, documents show.

A Border Patrol agent fired four shots Aug. 29 at a man holding a firearm near the Rio Grande while pursuing a group of immigrants east of Brownsville, The Associated Press reported. The man was not hurt, but dropped his weapon and identified himself as a militia member.

The militia member, identified as 45-year-old Brownsville resident John Frederick Foerster by KRGV-TV, served prison time for burglary and has been convicted on other charges, according to documents obtained by the San Antonio Express-News.

Foerster was arrested by Brownsville police Feb. 14, 2001, on three counts of burglarizing a building, a state jail felony punishable up to two years in prison, Texas Department of Public Safety records show. The offenses took place March 22, 1999, Feb. 13, 2001, and Feb. 14, 2001.

Foerster pleaded guilty to all three charges in May 2001 and served part of his sentence in Cameron County before being transferred to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on Aug. 1, 2001.

He was released from prison Aug. 9, 2002, records show.

Prior to the 1999 arrest, Foerster was arrested on charges of possessing a switchblade and knuckles, a Class A misdemeanor punishable up to a year in prison. Foerster pleaded guilty to those charges and sentenced to 180 days in jail.

In 2009, Foerster was arrested in Missouri City on theft charges.

“I’m still going to be out there. I’m still going to be vigilant. I might be a little louder towards the agents so that they know that I’m there. I might even put a red strobe light on my forehead so that they can see. I’m not leaving,” Foerster told KRGV after the shooting incident.

The Border Patrol and local law enforcement have discouraged citizen militias from patrolling the area.

“Sometimes it can be dangerous, because you have all these (non-law enforcement) people out there running around the border,” said Kevin Oaks, the Border Patrol’s chief in the Rio Grande Valley told The Associated Press. “There are cartel members that carry assault weapons and camouflage, and then there’s others that may be under the auspices of whatever group, may look very similar, and we have no idea who those people are. My fear is that these things clash and eventually there will be a very bad outcome.”

Militia leaders claim Border Patrol has called upon them for backup, San Antonio Express-News reporter Aaron Nelsen writes.

“They knew exactly what we were doing and where we were doing it,” said Rob Chupp, who heads one of two Patriot teams in South Texas. “So it absolutely shocked us that this would ever happen.”

Chris Cabrera, vice president of the union representing Border Patrol agents in the Valley, told the Express-News he has “never heard of an agent soliciting backup from any militia types.”

“If militia members call us or arrive on scene that is beyond our control, but we do not call on civilians for backup, it’s a very dangerous environment that we patrol,” Cabrera said.

  • NotThatStupidYet

Ah “one of many” useful idiots. I saw nothing in any news story of the militia member being a two time felon, as where I live felons aren’t allowed in our militias, we do background checks. I would imagine you get your news from MSNBC or the Daily KOS.

  • NotThatStupidYet

Why would ISIS attack Ft. Bliss? Certainly suicidal, but I admit it would garner world headlines. Many more softer targets, would make just as big headlines and have a much greater effect on our economy.

  • Chained

Don’t be so friggin’ naive. We are beyond fixing our govt via voting and there is only one choice left. It is owned and controlled by a banking cartel and much of congress is complicit in their new world order scheme. We are close to the SHTF scenario and the prophetic end times so forget your lame idea of trying to rebuild govt. By the way every abled body American IS the militia which the states and or govt can call upon.

  • OnceAMule

That’s good – join the military. If we had an administration that could give us any confidence that they cared about borders or national security or terrorism or any of that stuff, half these questionable websites would just disappear, and we wouldn’t have to be talking about pulling out our own personal arsenal and fighting off the invaders. But in the meantime – you, and your lead – wouldn’t last long. So let’s see what we can do toward rebuilding our government and our defenses, AND our borders.

I think one of the most important elements of this entire article is the big yellow DONATE button. Is JW capable of providing good information? Certainly – and so is DHS . . . . but unfortunately, there’s no guarantee of credibility from either, and we have to be careful of swallowing everything a website might tell us, hook, line & sinker — even if (or especially if) it plays into our own political leanings. There are some sites — and JW is one of them — that will always cause me to look elsewhere for additional support and verification . . . .

STILL don’t know who you are but, Obama is the government. If he says ‘jump’, you must be one of the ones who says ‘how high?’. He votes & passes whatever laws he wants with or without ‘congress’ approval. Government thinks it’s a corporation now who is robbing the American public blind! You are stripping us of our rights & want us to end up as your slaves one day because that’s how it’s looking right now. Your killing your only real worker’s – the middle class. When you are done taking everything we have, this country will be poor as dirt – so, thank you very much! You are giving our hard earned money away to whomever you wish when we are not & haven’t been on solid financial ground for too long now! (which is ALL some of us have for our retirement – social security). Obama is convinced that we are all rich & like Robin Hood, he’s stealing whatever he wants & giving it away to whomever he wants! Are you one of the individuals responsible for that, too?!?! Obama is keeping the truth from the public for a REASON & I don’t believe he has good intentions! Now you are going to pick on me for my EXACT wording of a sentence – now you are the ‘little man’ aren’t you? Like I said before, I didn’t vote for Obama & personally I think the elections are all rigged anyway so don’t blame me! Who did YOU vote for?

  • ttodd

    Obama is a terrorist…

  • ttodd

    Had enough? VOTE REPUBLICAN!!

  • Pogo

Your statement is daring, even commendable, but as General George S. Patton is reputed to have said “The object of war is not to die for your country, but to make the other sob die for his,” or words to that effect.

The cesspool of crime and corruption known as Mexico is not ruled by men or women of any description, but by the Peso and dollar; with enough money, anything goes. Do not look for help from Mexico, and do not put anything past its “government.”

  • 2001CPT35E

This administration has clearly allowed us to appear weak and thus enabled our enemies to develop a confused confidence into thinking that they can attack us. Our government is not a full representation of the American people and the American people will not hesitate to fight, attack and hunt terrorist that harm us again.

  • dontbelieveallbs

Yes they’re well funded by the American so-called President! These are his buddies! That’s why he will NOT secure the border! This country is doomed!

  • Tery Bell Booth Naticchia

They have Arrogance just as the resident. Strict enforcement on their Northern border & imprisonment of Americans for stupid chit. But the “Real” bad guys “the reason we have 1000’s streaming in & sucking us dry” well “come right in cross the entire Mexican territory to breach our border!” FT He gives them billion $$$$ (of our money) & they spit in our face. Dereliction of duty on our part & not smart to bite the hand that feeds you on theirs! Read the in your face interview with Ms. Lopez, 2 decades in CIA, on WND, but it’s her integrity, not the site (before you rant about that) She called this admin out & if it were slanderous or untrue, HOHO would have her stoned. KUDOS for her! Educate yourself

  • Tery Bell Booth Naticchia

    KUDOS!

  • dgotshalk

Just one more reason we need no Immigration changes in a hurry. We should wait till thousands of terrorists cross the border and get organized. Not politically correct to zero in on Arab muslims even though 99% of the terrorists are of Middle East Arab origin. This President knows how to negotiate with ISIS, HAMAS, and al Quaeda jihadists and the court system in the US will take care of it. He is not going to get into another torture investigation like the one still going on from eight years ago. After all that is the reason he was elected.

  • Gardner Severin

And Russia and China and every other country that has a grudge against us!

  • Tom Soriano

If that’s really the case, I firmly believe that Obama is behind the ISIS movements in Mexico. Otherwise, why would be be getting so “firm” with the ISIS activities in Iraq and simply ignoring the ISIS threat along our Southern border?

  • Tom Soriano

Excellent idea! However, remember this, the Mexican government has done little to stop the drug cartels, human trafficking and the invasion of the US by “illegals”. I firmly believe that the Mexicans are supporting criminal and terrorist activities along the Mexican border and elsewhere in the US. Stop for just one minute and think about the millions of “illegals” that are already in the US. Now think about what would happen if they all had guns (which they probably do) and declared war on the US? At that point, we would have to contend with the Mexican government, the drug cartels, ISIS and all the “illegals”! What’s even worse, we will probably even have to contend with our own corrupt government…..Be Well.

  • Tom Soriano

We should have done that and more, before now. The Mexican government is not a friend to the US, it’s doing little or nothing to stop the drug cartels and/or the invasion of America by “illegals”! And, from what I’ve read and heard, Mexican military forces have gone so far as to enter our airspace and fire at US Border Patrol Officers. That doesn’t sound like a concerned ally to me…..Be Well.

  • Tom Soriano

The only weakness in your comment, if there is one, is that our own government is complicit with aiding our enemies. Either through wanton treason or gross incompetence (or both) the Obama administration has set the stage for more terrorist attacks in the US. While Obama is taking a firm stand about ISIS actions in Iraq, I’ve not heard or read one single comment about what he’s doing or done to reinforce our Southern border! Coincidently, the media hasn’t had too much to say about ISIS forming in Mexico either…….Be Well.

  • Tom Soriano

If you believe that this corrupt government will ever allow itself to be voted out of power, you are a very naive individual. The only things that will change are the players and the lies! Nothing will change until Americans stop allowing key positions in our government to be sold to the highest bidders and we take a hard stand against corruption and incompetence. As for ISIS any attack that they make on US soil would go to boost their morale and demoralize the American People. If an attack should happen Obama, his administration and “Michael” should all be arrested and charged with treason. Then, our new government needs to break off any and all dealings with Mexico and close our Southern border! I firmly believe that the Mexican government is behind a lot (if not all) of our immigration and crime problems along our border and elsewhere in the US. I also believe that Obama has orchestrated this severe immigration situation to undermine America…….Be Well.

  • Tom Soriano

If ISIS does attack the US, Obama and his administration should be immediately removed from power by any means necessary! He (they) should also be charged with treason and aiding and abetting the enemy!

  • one of many

yes Gov Perry called up the guard and they ended up shooting at a militia guy (who was possessing fire arms illegally because he was a two time felon) they missed him. So now we have some have crazed militia, some Texas Guard folks and a right wing news organization telling half truths about a threat around Sept 11th anniversary. Let’s see how long it takes for someone to get seriously injured or killed. I guess if I lived in a desolate place like Iraq I would think that part of Texas looks like home and make my move there. Maybe they can blowup some tumble weed but not much else there for many, many miles after they over run Ft Bliss with a couple of car bombs they smuggle across the border. How the hell did they link the Ft Hood thing to this ISIL group when ISIL did not even exist until this year. Yeah I know that guy said he wanted to join ISIL but I think based on his behavior he will be no threat while in jail.

  • 2001CPT35E

I don’t think ISIS or Al Qaeda realize that the United States citizens and Law Enforcement Agencies have more armed people than most countries armies. I also don’t think that they realize that Americans by nature love to kill anything that poses a threat to them… heck it’s even guaranteed in our Second Amendment Right to Bear Arms for this very reason… to protect and defend that which we treasure most – our life, the lives of our family, our country and our way of life.

So, unlike helpless people in Syria and Iraq – many of whom are not armed and don’t know how to fight – trust me, that kind of activity by ISIS would last about as long as one of Mike Tyson’s old fights… it would been done faster than the news could report it. Also, don’t think for one minute that American citizens will allow ISIS attackers to be tried in court… we will not only Shoot On Site (S.O.S.), but we will actively pursue you and hunt you down – all the way back to the gates of hell – and we will let loose a new Crusade this time in order to permanently eliminate Islamic extremism and any place where it is permitted, taught, rooted or provided a safehaven. We will do this for many generations if necessary in order to rid the world of thugs who rule by fear. The leaders of ISIS should consider this and rethink their strategy and course of action – a country full of armed citizens, law enforcement officers, military and Veterans with combat experience is not the kind of place where they can just walk in and declare themselves victors.

  • Michael J. Day

The cartels do NOT want to see the US fall. If our country falls so does our economy. Cartels are nothing without US drug money. And if you don’t think heads of these cartels haven’t thought of that; you are seriously underestimating their intelligence.

No, you didn’t say Obama didn’t have our back, you said “Gov’t. does NOT have our back”. I copy/pasted that from your post, so it’s exactly what you said.

I am part of the government just as much as Obama is, so when you said the “Gov’t. does NOT have our back”, I took offense, especially because the government is only the way it is because people like you vote for people with no moral character, no courage, and no patriotism.

  • holoh

Read your statement again and listen to how idiotic it is “This isn’t true…I would hope”. How can you say it isn’t true and then have your support for that be that you hope something? Please use your head and if you aren’t capable, I recommend listening more and speaking and writing less.

I am an American living in Chihuahua, Chihuahua. My wife has had several of her family members come from Juarez to visit us in the past. Last night her Aunt and her husband came to visit us. They were some of the sharpest and I can say without a doubt nicest people I have met in my life. He will retire this nest year. I did not even think of them as Mexicans or any other race or nationality. I just thought, wow, wonderful people. I wish they lived closer to us. They are not happy about the drug dealers and murderers either in Juarez or Mexico. They are not happy with the government as the President here now has the lowest rating of any president in 20 years. Just like Obama has super low ratings in the USA. But the people in the USA cannot control Obama and the government once one is elected. Neither can the good people of Mexico. Just like the Americans do not want instability and high crime, neither do the Mexicans. But look at many American cities that are out of control. So would you bomb Detroit or Chicago just to kill the domestic terrorist home grown gangs and criminals. They are not all bad people in these cities. It would be nice if the two presidents could talk and work out a strategy. But the USA cannot control many of it’s citizen gangs and criminals just as Mexico cannot. So we need leaders in both countries that will look for the betterment of it’s good people. But the idea to blow up a city full of criminals and kill everyone sounds like something that ISIS is doing. Just to secure the border and enforce the current laws would help solve much of the problems. The government held out the carrot. What did you think would happen? Now they do nothing to stop it. You cannot have two top clowns on either side of the border work together because they both get something out of the situation. One gets more votes and power and the other more power and money from corruption. The system is broken.

  • Juana

Most of the posts, especially the one where “Mexico would not allow terrorists” in their soil” made me cringe at how uninformed people are. Mexico appears to enforce the rule of the law only for Americans crossing the border by mistake who state that they have three registered guns. They certainly do not enforce their gun laws when it pertains to the drug cartels who are running rampant. In fact, it is my understanding that some towns are totally controlled by the drug cartels. Mexicans do not seem to understand that their jobs and benefits will/might go away if this country is attacked again.
They might even start securing the border and deporting the vermin.

  • Juana

LOL, please, if I send you my address, would you send me some of what you are drinking/smoking, whatever. I do want to see the world and Mexico through your “rose-colored” eyeglasses.

This isn’t true….first off, Mexico, I would hope would not allow them to attack from Mexico. Such assistance would be an act of war against the United States by providing support for the terrorist! If this is true and Mexico is assisting them, we should bomb the hell out of Mexico city, capture the country and make it a territory of the United States!

  • jayjay27

Well, there you go. That would be just about the dumbest idea ever, invading by way of Texas. Yep they will be running back to the Middle East, the ones who can still walk that is. You’d think the American traitors with them would have told them, “you don’t mess with Texas”.

For what it’s worth, there is no increase in security at Fort Bliss. In fact, quite the contrary, it is probably the most accessible Army post in the world to civilians. The post implemented some temporary changes on Sunday and Monday of Labor Day weekend, restricting two of eight gates (only one of which was heavily trafficked) to people with DoD ID cards. At the other gates, any motorist presenting a driver’s license is allowed on. On Tuesday, the other two gates returned to their previous status, requiring a valid driver’s license for entry. Fort Bliss has a number of facilities — Freedom Crossing shopping center, the Centennial Club, a golf course — that are frequented by civilians. Because of the close connection of El Paso and Fort Bliss, the gates to the post since 2011 have been essentially open to civilian traffic. That is the case today, despite reports of “increased security.” The force protection level has not changed; the only change was an access change for two days that is now lifted.

I agree. However, to entertain the thought that these people can become a “manageable threat” is one of Obama’s most ridiculous statements yet. If I remember correctly, and I do, Texas is not a State, but a Republic. If our Governor was half the man he wishes he was, he’d call out the Guard, fully arm them, and close the d… border. As it is, he wants to run for President, so instead of doing the right thing, he’s going to pussyfoot around till some of us get killed.

  • Shootist

Just a guess on my part, but perhaps Obama doesn’t want to make them angry? As if they are not already filled with hatred for us. Weeks ago, I dismissed some posted comments about Obama wanting ISIS/ISIL to cross the borders as coming solely from a lunatic fringe. I was certainly wrong about that! I believe now that it is true. There is absolutely no other reason for B.O. not to secure our borders. As an added bonus for B.O., maybe more Hispanic illegals will come in.

  • Judy Selich

Thank you for an informative post and the approach you took in providing the information. I had no sense of this being a “hothead alert”; to the contrary, you have given some real insight to those of us who are uninformed but very worried for the safety of this country.

  • Annette Howell

I don’t know who you are – but, I was NOT addressing you! Are you Obama? Are YOU the government – all by yourself – NO! I said Obama doesn’t have our back! He is part of the problem – can you tell me what he’s allowing to happen to the VA is ok too? Does he even have the military’s back, really? Now it’s even more clear why he wants all citizen’s weapons taken away from them. The government is only concerned about it’s OWN back, not the American civilians here in the US! If Obama knows they are there, why doesn’t he just go in & destroy them now? What is he waiting for – an actual surge from them resulting in death by the hands of the enemy first? Or, are we waiting to see if a missing/stolen Libyan jet hits one of our skyscrapers again first? Or, maybe he’s waiting until he’s out of office & if we get hit then, he won’t even have to deal with it. I think he knows exactly what he’s doing which is why he’s allowing all the illegals to cross the border just when ‘congress’ is going on break & just before school begins – isn’t that convenient?!? Oh, and by the way – I didn’t elect him so start using your own head now, okay?

  • holoh

You don’t think people in the military are following this? It’s what we do for a living. We don’t need our parents to tell us what to worry about with respect to our jobs. Also, how do we not “have your back”? We (people in the military, DHS, FBI, CIA, etc) have your back until the politicians that YOU elected take authority away from us to do the things necessary to have your back.

    Please start using your head.

We use to go watch the glass blowers there all the time. I grew up there, we lived about 10 minutes if even that far from the Zaragoza bridge, we would go there every two weeks or so and get our meat there, this was in the 60’s, my dad and brothers would get haircuts, we would come home with warm boillio rolls and eat them on the way! Get the big cases of Coke, too. Do you remember the big Old Market there, loved that place and was sad when it burned down!

  • http://rueuhy.com Rueuhy

It’s been seven years since I visited El Paso, TX. And seven years ago, when I asked my cousin (most of my mom’s side lives in El Paso or the surrounding area) about visiting Juarez he told me he never crosses the border anymore because of the violence taking place there. Since then, the violence reported in news outlets only confirm the decline of law and order in Juarez and the deepening foothold taking place and won by the drugs, weapons, and gang activity. Some have posted comments to this story basically from an ostrich’s viewpoint / head buried in the sand approach. On a side note, ostrich’s do not actually bury their heads out of fear but actually bury their eggs and use their heads to cover the “fruits of their labor” much like those who hide behind a pacifists point of view in regards to dealing with enemies of the United States. Their eggs produce a climate of acceptance and denial in the threat of an enemy. Currently they have a stash of eggs that have moved to close proximity and within our borders. People can deny the enemy exists and continue to strategize on the golf course and bemoan the next attack on our soil. Denial has always been a key factor in defending one’s position on a losing side. Whether we drive them to the gates of hell, or contain them to a manageable threat, ISIS / ISIL is an enemy ready to take it to the next level. And Juarez is the place I would enter through to the United States if I wished to gain covert entry. To deny the possibility or just plain dismiss it on the “let’s just pooh pooh that idea because it’s yucky to think about” gives them even more of an upper hand on us. It’s just sad and pathetic the “non” approach Obama’s administration is taking in almost every regard to the safety and well-being of our country. I guess when you really don’t much in the way of family roots or tradition to the country your elected president of, you really can’t have an actual enemy, right?

Texas became an Independent Republic in 1836 – did not join the UNION until 1845. Texas joined the union as a FREE Republic – Mexico could not control the Texas territory from the Native Americans and Mexico invited Stephen S. Austin and the other families to settle the territory – which they did. Nothing was stolen – it was won through their own sweet and blood. Again the US was not involved until 1845. Texas reserved the right to break up into 5 different states if it chose to. In the state of Texas the American Flag and Texas Flag fly at the same height – we were a Republic.

If ISIS is that close to home, why aren’t we wiping them out?

  • Jack.Foobar

Luckily, Bill Clinton disarmed all Soldiers on military bases. Good luck. And remember- Vote Democrat.

  • Danniro

my daughter, son – in – law and my grandson live on that crappy post.. right before the holiday weekend NO alerts had been issues to the soldiers.. this is ridiculous and patently unsafe!

I don’t think that is a good comparison; the Alamo was (in fact all of
Texas) Mexican territory and they tried to take it back; if Santa Anna
had used his head a bit, they would have succeeded, probably, but the US
then took back what they essentially had stolen!!!

The soldiers at Fort Bliss should be arming up, standing extra watches, and be fully prepared for any kind of assault. I hope the base commander makes the right decision to protect his base, and screw what Obama tells him otherwise.

Well, folks, terrorism works! Just the thought of being attacked, causes fear which leads to terror; thus the word terrorism! If we keep sitting on our asses and allow these scum to keep infiltrating our borders/recruiting the half-minded to follow them, we will see the demise of our country….and sooner than later! By the way, isn’t Ft. Bliss a military base (tongue in cheek)? Do they have guns and other armament at military bases? So, what the hell is the big deal; take them ISIS folks the hell out!

  • Bill Delamotte

So – are we going to be proactive or sit on our asses and calmly await destruction. Are our personnel armed???

  • Thomas Meadows

Now you see what the TERRORIST TRAITOR in the WH is doing!ALONG WITH THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY THE SUPPORTS HIM!!!!

  • Patriot05!

It will not be just the military. It will take every real American working together to stop this.

Probably just trying to lock out reporters looking for illegal immigrants. Or birth tourista’s. You know how they are.

Remember to wash your bullets in pig blood and let them know before you start shooting.

    Lock and Load!

I don’t know about the rest of America but I am not the slightest bit surprised at this. Our POTUS has been setting this up eve e since he came on the political scene. He has opened the door for them, not just left it unlocked but standing wide open. He is on their side not ours. God, give our military men and women strength and vision to stop this invasion.

    Remember the Alamo!!

  • Brigadier

Oh well. When is Obummer’s tee time anyway?

  • Andrew Nelson

With the agitating Alinskyite fraud Barry Soetoro in charge, the jihadists can most likely rely on the fact that this POS CIC coward does not allow American soldiers to carry any weapons while on their own base. Anyone with any doubt that the guy is a traitor need only look and see if that silly, commie libtard rule is still in place. And I do not care a whit when it was put in place or by whom…if it is still there is all that matters.

Shades of Pancho Villa- time for a Pershing to go after them….
