Judicial Watch Client Brian McCann Testified before Senate Judiciary Committee

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced that its long-time client Brian McCann gave testimony today before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The Hearing was titled “Oversight of the Administration’s Misdirected Immigration Enforcement Policies: Examining the Impact on Public Safety and Honoring the Victims.”

Brian McCann is a lifelong resident of Chicago and is being represented by Judicial Watch in his lawsuit against Cook County Sheriff Thomas J. Dart (Brian McCann v. Thomas J. Dart (No. 2013CH10583)).  The suit challenges the sheriff’s refusal to cooperate with federal immigration officials or honor immigration detainers issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for criminal aliens.

McCann’s testimony can be read in full here.
