Synopsis

On July 21, 2009, Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to force the agency’s compliance with a FOIA request submitted on May 15, 2009 seeking to obtain records regarding CIA briefings of Rep. Nancy Pelosi and other members of Congress discussing “enhanced interrogation techniques” and/or “harsh interrogation techniques” and suspected and/or known terrorists.
